Laurel Creek WV is a nice trout stream nestled in the Appalachian Mountains in Fayetteville, West Virginia. Laurel Creek is 5 mile section of trout water near Beckwith in Fayette County. This stream is stocked once each month from February-May. Laurel Creek is stocked from Stocked from the Beckwith Dam upstream to the mouth of Dempsey Branch. Laurel can be fished year round but in the summertime the pools of water get small. Laurel Creek has a couple of falls you can see along its route. Laurel Creek WV is narrow in spots so its best to sneak up on the bigger pools of water so you don't spook the trout.
There is an old mill located on Laurel Creek and some kayak enthusiast hit this creek for adventure. This creek flows into the New River which is known for its bass fishing.

Town is an old coal mining town like many throughout West Virginia that are not thriving as they once were during its haydays.
